James Charles Wall (1860-1943) was a British author, artist, historian, and antiquarian, well read in the Church Fathers. A Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, he wrote many books, mainly on Church history, and was an early contributor to the Victoria History of the Counties of England magazine. He was somewhat of a mentor to his nephew, the celebrated author Charles Williams.
