Homily of the Day

Friday of the Second Week of Advent

Jesus seems to expressing mild disappointment to combative dispositions toward his mission. Instead of supporting our Lord’s good works, we don’t seem to be following his ideals. We instead formulate our own opinions as to the disillusionments of building God’s kingdom that Jesus continues to preach.

If we choose to involve ourselves in what Jesus hopes to do, more good works can be accomplished. We can rejoice in constructing homes for the impoverished. We are moved to compassion to those affected by natural calamities. With Jesus leading the way, we’ll always be on the right path.

And we’re still not prevented from taking an opposite position. There’s no law against speaking out what’s on our mind. But, talk without action will not get anything done.

Let us rise up to act. Jesus constantly invites us to follow his motivations. We are a community of believers in the True Leader who only has our best interests in his mind and in his heart.
