Donald “Rick” Froyd, Ph.D. is a semi‑retired Catholic psychotherapist and scholar‑practitioner who teaches graduate counseling courses at New Mexico Highlands University. His academic work focuses on patristic anthropology, Evagrian spirituality, and the integration of ascetical theology with contemporary clinical practice. He lives in the high desert of New Mexico with his family, where he continues writing and teaching in the contemplative tradition of the Desert Fathers.
