“Each of us is willed. Each of us is loved. Each of us is necessary.”
-Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI
Strange, as my faith waivered after the death of John Paul the 2nd. I thought who could ever replace this vicar of Christ ??? When Pope Emeritus Benedict the 16th was elected my heart became dull and empty. It is said that first impressions mean everything how wrong could I have been. Throughout his pontifacte I never realized it was me of little faith with regard to this Pope. However, having read the aforementioned quote by this beloved man, “Each of us is willed. Each of us is loved. Each of us is necessary.”, is the Holy Spirit being stirred more fervently in my heart. In addition to this I saw a man on the Bronson Arroyo show this morning namely, Chad Judice with the most incredible story of his infant son. Also, today’s Gospel reading and the Homily I read solidified my faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ when he asks Peter, “DO YOU LOVE ME” ? Now put yourself in Simon Peter’s place after denying our Lord three times and see if you can feel his divine mercy enter your heart…..I now I did !!!!
