I’m so grateful for the outpouring of support we’ve received these past few weeks. As the donations and well-wishes arrive, I’m moved by Catholic Exchange’s global impact and engaged community.
Fundraisers are perennially uncomfortable. I always used to cringe asking for money at something as simple as a bake sale, and understand you are inundated with requests during this month.
It’s a big ask: to give away hard-earned money to a distant organization. But since we’ve raised only half of what we need, our request for funds to support our apostolate must go on.
However, the personal notes and comments I receive from readers this time of year remind me that to many of you, Catholic Exchange is more than just a well of content, but an important apostolate whose work you have been invested in for years.
It’s wonderful to put faces to the names of our readership—and I hope this happens in reverse as well. Whether a regular commenter or a weekly reader, I am moved by the messages of hope and solidarity that come in during this season. We see you! While we do not have time to reply to all comments personally, we read them all and appreciate your participation.
The best way to maximize the impact of your support is to become a donor, whether you make a one-time gift or sign up as a monthly contributor.
As our gift to you, from now until Christmas any donation of $100 or more will get a complimentary copy of The Vatican Christmas Cookbook, a Catholic family’s perfect holiday companion – and a $35 value!
There’s still time to lend your support to Catholic Exchange this Christmas season. I hope our readers will continue to be actively involved. Your contributions to this community—whether likes, comments, shares, or donations—help us expand this apostolate to those who need to hear our message most.
Prayers continue for a blessed final week of Advent.
