Since her death a century ago, St. Therese of Lisieux, also known as the “Little Flower”, has attracted people around the world by her simple way of spirituality and her great love for God and souls.

Devotion to this 24-year-old cloistered French Carmelite has been brought into sharp focus recently as millions of people turn out to venerate the relics of this holy Saint as they tour the globe.
When the relics visited the United States from October 1999 to January 2000, 1.1 million people packed into monasteries, churches and cathedrals from Maryland to Honolulu, surprising both media and tour organizers. People waited on long lines for hours, eager to get a glimpse of the reliquary or, better yet, to press their hands, lips or religious items on the glass surrounding it. Some came simply out of curiosity. But for most, it was a chance-of-a-lifetime opportunity to pay their respects to a dearly loved friend. Many reported the experience to be highly emotional and life changing; a powerful, indescribable spiritual experience. There have been reports of an increase in inquiries about religious vocations. Wherever the reliquary travels, it seems to leave in its wake evidence of renewed faith and love.
Catholic author, Elizabeth Ficocelli, herself a long-time friend of St. Therese, is compiling stories for a special book project through The Crossroad Publishing Company. She intends to capture a sampling of the marvelous workings of this modern Saint for a hurting world today.
If you or someone you know have had an interesting experience involving the intercession of St. Therese of Lisieux, Ms. Ficocelli is requesting that you send your story with as much detail as possible explaining how St. Therese answered your prayers. Be sure to provide information on how you can be reached should your story be selected for publication. Include email address, postal address and complete phone number.
