Saint Santa

Do you believe in Santa Claus?
Oh yes, I really do!
He is a man of Heaven,
Who’s good all through and through.
His real name, St Nicholas, was shortened just a bit,
For Santa sounds so magical, it really seemed to fit.

He came from a wealthy family,
They loved him till they died.
He was still so very young,
He must have really cried.

His church taught him true religion,
They taught him charity.
So he set forth to save poor children,
It’s what changed all history.

He gave up everything he had,
‘Tis love that gave him life.
Filling stockings full of gold,
For those who lived in strife.

So, please put out your stockings,
If you were nice this year.
But don’t you even try it,
If you’re naughty, do you hear?

He saved poor sailors from the sea,
His prayer brought them safe to shore.
There are so many stories,
I’d like to tell you more.

But, ask your mom and daddy,
There are books that tell the rest.
When Santa died, his sprit lived,
Because God was so impressed

And ‘tis his Spirit now we see,
That brightens Christmas Day.
So share his love to everyone,
Because Santa’s on his way!

Bringing gifts that are made with love,
For all of us to share.
It’s what Santa brought to Christmas?
So believe it, if you dare!
