Pro-Family Researcher: Homosexual TV Network ‘Next Logical Step’

An official with the American Family Association says he is not surprised that plans are in the works for a homosexual television network.

Since last summer, both MTV networks and Showtime have been developing the homosexual-oriented network. Ed Vitagliano, director of research for the AFA, says for years Hollywood has been sympathetic to homosexuals — and this is the next logical step.

“We’re certainly not surprised that taking the lead in this effort seems to be MTV and Showtime, both of which have been sympathetic towards the homosexual agenda,” Vitagliano says. “For example, MTV has promoted hate crimes laws. Showtime has one of the worst, despicable shows on television, Queer as Folk.”

Vitagliano says unfortunately there is not much concerned Christians can do except stay away from these kinds of channels. “I think that we’re going to see Hollywood and entertainment in general continue to just slide into the deep end,” he says. “I think entertainment is going to get a lot worse before it gets better, if it ever does.”

Vitagliano says Hollywood puts money over morality and is only interested in attracting big budget advertisers expected to support a homosexual cable network. Reports say the network will be offered as a premium cable channel.
