“Every man serves the good wine first; and when men have drunk freely, then the poor wine; but you have kept the good wine until now.”
These words were spoken by the master of the feast at the wedding in Cana after Jesus turned the water into wine. As often happens in the gospel, the one who was speaking said more than he realized. For the wine Jesus made was the symbol of his messianic bounty to be poured forth in the new age that was about to dawn with his death and resurrection. God truly has saved the best for last! Today, drink freely of the messianic wine and get a bit tipsy on the Holy Spirit!
