Sr. Mary Catherine Blanding is a religious in the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Wichita), a spiritual director, and an educator. She holds graduate degrees in Philosophy (Catholic University of America) and Catechetics (Angelicum, Rome) and a certificate in spiritual formation from the Avila Institute. She has taught philosophy and the Faith to adults, high school, and college students. Her forthcoming book, St. John Henry Newman: Doctor for Our Times (En Route Books), presents St. John Henry Newman as a guide for today’s Catholic heart.
