Fr. Basil Nixen, OSB, originally hails from Yuma, Arizona. He completed his undergraduate degree as a seminarian at the Pontifical College Josephinum. Fr. Nixen accepted the call to the monastic life and entered the Benedictine community in Norcia, Italy, in August of 2004. A priest-monk of the Abbey of San Benedetto in Monte, Norcia, Italy, he is the author of The Last Communion of St. Jerome: The Eucharist, Monasticism, and Priesthood in the Life of Church Father from TAN Books.
