The Catholic faith is strong in images in paintings, sculptures, and
in holy images of all sorts. Photography is unique, however, in its
ability to capture the brief moment when the religious emotions of the
faithful are expressed.
Bringing the Gospel to Life
These six images are taken from an exhibit of photographs by Pavel Chichikov, “Catholic Faith, Catholic Faces.”
The photographs in the exhibit show the life of Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary, along with other expressions of Catholic faith and works.
The photographs will be on display in the Marion Burk Knott Auditorium building at Mount Saint Mary's University and Seminary, in Emmitsburg, Maryland, September 1–19, 2004.
Mount Saint Mary’s is located on U.S. Route 15, between Frederick, Maryland and Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The campus is an hour and twenty minutes north of Washington D.C. and an hour west of Baltimore, Maryland. Please contact fishhook@erols.com for more information.
