St. Ursula was a young Christian princess, traditionally believed to have lived in the early centuries of the Church. According to tradition, she set out on a pilgrimage across Europe with a group of companions, dedicating themselves to Christ and vowing to remain pure. On their journey, they were captured by hostile forces and offered freedom if they abandoned their faith. Ursula and her companions refused, choosing instead to remain faithful to Christ even unto death. They were martyred together, and their witness inspired countless others to remain steadfast in the face of trial. Over the centuries, devotion to St. Ursula grew, and she came to be honored as a model of courage, purity, and fidelity to Christ, especially among young women.

Prayer
St. Ursula, courageous virgin and faithful martyr, intercede for us that we may remain steadfast in faith, cherish holy friendships, and live with courage in our witness to Christ. Help us to choose God above all else and to encourage others to do the same. Amen.
