Why do You Call Him Lord?

Luke 6:46-48

Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? Every one who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep, and laid the foundation upon rock; and when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it had been well built.

One thing you can count on is that you will have difficult times at some point in your life.  How will you weather the storms? How will you prepare?  We just wanted to encourage you today to make a point of putting the Lord’s words into practice.  You will face adversity down the road, but what you do today with the Lord’s word has a lot to do with how you will handle the trials tomorrow.  In the area of money, is Jesus Lord in your life?  Is Jesus Lord of the way you use your mouth and work, home or school?  Is Jesus Lord of your marriage?  Are you teaching your children?  Sit down and ask yourself a question today, “Why do I call Jesus Lord?”
