I am not sure whether you can help me. Recently in conversation, a priest referred to the possibility that a priest could perform an “invalid” mass. Is there any such thing from an ordained priest?

As discussed in our FAITH FACT “Invalid Masses,” a Mass is invalid when the celebrant of the Mass is not a validly ordained priest, when the priest does not have the proper intention, when wheat bread or grape wine is not used, or when the words “This is my Body” or “This is… my Blood” are not said.
