Homily of the Day

Wednesday of the Second Week of Lent

“The son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give
life as a ransom for many.” To put it simply, there is Greatness in
Service!

Perhaps we have turned a blind eye to the suffering of others. We are
sometimes so busy living our own lives, that we even forget our own
families. What then is the reason for our existence? Would it be only
to amass wealth or to become powerful people? Making a difference in
someone’s life is a better way of finding fulfillment in our lives.
Jesus came to show us how. He came to save us.

During this season of lent, let us reflect on our own lives. Have we
shown concern for others, done good works to confirm that we truly are
the disciples of Christ? Let us pray for the grace to live our lives
for the service of others.
