Dear Editor,

I do not know how I got on your list, but I want to thank you and the Lord for receiving it. I can't tell you yet which articles are attracting me the most, but in my opinion, they all benefit a serious Catholic individual. I am a “cradle” Catholic, but always have searched for that special relationship with the Lord. So I read and read, listen to EWTN, and attend the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.

Thank you! I am sending a little donation. I wish it could be much more.

Virginia Cummings

Dear Catholic Exchange:

Frankly it is pure joy to have a great Catholic website like this. We Catholics need some down-to-earth Christian discussion, advice and information. This is creative and informative. I usually get my Christian info from Evangelical Christians which has been wonderful. But I am a Catholic and now I can get some good input from my denomination for a change. We are all Christian (other denominations and us) and maybe in reading this it will stress the unity we have in Jesus Christ and help us work together. I liked the story of the little girl putting the father's ripped paper together. It made a powerful statement in few words. The less words the better. Plus thank you for the info about the movie The Gospel of John. I hadn't heard about it and now I can't wait to see it. I will send a donation soon.

Julie:

Thank you very much for your thoughtful words. We strive to bring the discussion, advice and information to your fingertips so you can persevere in your Catholic faith. What a testimony to your Evangelical Christian friends. Maybe you can get them “tuning” in to the relevant material on Catholic Exchange.

You are a blessing and we thank you for your support both in prayers and in sacrifical financial support. Keep it up for the Kingdom!

Dear Editor:

Thank you for this article. As a convert, one of the primary reasons(among several) I was drawn into the Catholic Church was the Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament. I could not understand why the reserved Host has been “side-lined.” This “Bishops Speak” article for September 23, 2003 helped me to understand why that decision was made.

The problem, however, is that when the Blessed Sacrament was moved from the center of the sanctury it wasn't the celebration of the Eucharist in the sacrifice of the Mass that took center place but the celebration of the subjective emotionalism of groups of people who, although, they call themselves the People of God are more accurately a people who use God's words to justify subjective ritual.

Thank you,

Karen

Karen:

You are most welcome. Isn't a joy to be part of a teaching Church that is available constantly and *consistently* to make Truth available to us?

We thank you for your comments.

Dear Catholic Exchange

You are an utterly amazing organization, peopled (on the evidence) by some of the most intelligent, lucid, grounded and funny writers around. Every day you arm me a little better for discourse with my secular friends and colleagues, filling my quiver with apt and well-directed intellectual arrows, frequently deliciously tipped with a bit of irony. I bless you, even as I continue to plagiarise you outrageously in everyday conversation. Keep up the wonderful work!
