I left today
left
and will not return
so many people
weep and scream
about problems
I could not face
but
when solutions are offered
explained
over and over and over
say
“No, I can't, I'd have to . . . .”
They want to cry
not to
fix
how many people
must weep with them
while they
wreck
their own lives
I will not play that game
and so I left
an e-mail list
that some there
called
“a family”
poor souls
I pray for them
but
I will not play
You didn't
those who would follow You
must leave behind their games
and
live
or for what
did You die?
