Jesus, from whence does
this sadness flow?
Is it a result of my sinclination
and failures,
Or from your own Heart?
Where does it feed into
And where does it start?
Is it the effect of melting snow,
Or some ancient spring
Under rock below?
So exquisitely mine in
A prison of loneliness
So eminently yours in
A prism of holiness,
We share this sorrow:
In your past, my present,
And our tomorrow.
