The Sacrifice of the Mass!

Psalm 5:3

O LORD, in the morning thou dost hear my voice;
in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for thee, and watch.

Today as at every Mass, the Church universal, the Bride, prepares to enter into the Great Sacrifice prepared for her by Christ, the Groom.  In the prayers of the Church we are offering the prayers of the Great High Priest and Victim, Jesus Christ, who is the Lamb slain for the sins of the world.  We may pray with the confidence that the prayers are heard for it is Jesus—-God Incarnate—-who offers them himself.  Today, enter into the Sacrifice of the Mass with the Lamb and offer yourself, your life, the lives of all you know and love, on the altar along with the bread and wine.  Expect God to do something wonderful with that sacrifice of praise.  He will.
