Speak Your Mind!

Luke 22:42
Father, if Thou art willing, remove this cup from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Thine, be done.

Some people have such an inhuman view of spiritual perfection that they fear that voicing their desires or opinions in the hearing of the Almighty makes them guilty of some sin of being an upstart.  Jesus does not reflect this at all.  He knew that it was God’s will for Him to suffer.  But still, as a Son and not a slave, He also knew that He could speak out His fears and wishes, though with submission to God’s will.  That is because God is a Father, not a Fate, and He listens to us as His children, not His slaves and chattel.  Today, speak your mind to God as a beloved child and offer yourself, your fears, your loves, and your will.
