The LORD is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul that seeks him.
It is good that one should wait quietly
for the salvation of the LORD.
Seeking God is an essential part of finding him. Waiting for God is part of the process that leads up to his arrival. It is during those times of waiting and seeking, as much as during the time of finding, that God is at work in our souls, albeit secretly. Every prayer is heard before we pray it. Every prayer is answered according to his timing and will, not ours.
