I rose today in Jesus Christ
my savior, my Lord, my friend
I made it through the suffering and pain
by the hand that heals all sin
I feel the joy of eternity's touch
the spirit's breath alive and real
Its divine wind carrying my soul onward
loved and purified, marked and sealed
This moment I am invincible
a soul in his peace no evil can enter
Has not my savior promised me this
if I surrender to him, my heart, my very center
Today I love because Christ has loved
to be loved and to truly love, how I longed
With grateful heart I lift my hands
and praise God in thought, in word, in song
He felt my pain, he heard my call
and the Son of God answered me – yes, me
He touched and awakened and so set free
the new creation I was meant to be
And when some tomorrow I suffer again
I know that I shall die and rise
For his glory, face to face
to meet the love and mercy in his eyes.
