(AgapePress) – A Wisconsin pro-life group wants citizens to know that tax dollars go to support an organization whose main objective is the killing of innocent children.
Planned Parenthood is the number one abortion provider in the world. The group Missionaries to the Pre-born plans to display the atrocities of the group during a four-city tour called “Unmasking Planned Parenthood.” The tour begins Monday.
Pastor Matt Trewhella says at each tour stop, participants will display large, graphic photos of aborted babies.
“We line up on the streets with those signs. We’ll be spread out sometimes a mile, mile-and-a-half long, standing about 50-60 yards apart, and then we have teams of young people who go into the neighborhoods and pass out literally thousands of pieces of literature to the inhabitants of the community,” Trewhella says. “The literature exposes Planned Parenthood for the evil organization it is, and then we also have gospel tracts that we pass out at the same time.”
The annual report of Planned Parenthood Federation of America reveals that the organization killed 182,854 unborn children in 1999.
Meanwhile, the South Carolina Legislature is considering a pair of pro-life bills. One would allow a pro-life license plate bearing the slogan “Choose Life.” Pro-life Governor Bob Peeler is promoting the legislation, which would generate money for crisis pregnancy centers.
The proposal has bipartisan support with 80 sponsors in the House, where it is in committee, and 23 in the Senate, where it is on the contested calendar. Pro-abortion forces are objecting, saying the bill is entangling the state in a religious issue.
Holly Gatling, executive director of South Carolina Citizens for Life, said her organization backs the Peeler bill. The pro-life group is also concentrating its lobbying efforts on the Unborn Victims Bill, which protects pregnant mothers and unborn children by allowing prosecutors to charge criminals with an additional crime when an unborn child is killed or injured during an assault against the mother.
The bill would recognize unborn children as persons for the purposes of protecting them in such cases.

Pat Robertson, China and Population Control
by Steven W. Mosher
Pat Robertson's efforts to justify China's population control policy are indicative of the misguided perceptions many politicians, academics and even clergy have regarding population growth in the world and in particular, China.
Pat Robertson is simply wrong when he says that “[China's leaders] are doing what they have to do.”
China's policy of forced abortion and forced sterilization is completely unjustified — and unjustifiable. Not only does it violate the human rights of millions of Chinese families and women, it does not make economic sense.
With China's per capita GNP growing at 10 percent a year, it is irrelevant whether China's population is growing at 1 percent or 2 percent a year. Every Chinese person is better off financially from year to year.
China remains a relatively impoverished country today principally because of the corruption and misrule of the Chinese Communist Party, not because the Chinese people are having — or might have — too many children.
By blaming the victims — the Chinese people — for China's continuing difficulties, Reverend Robertson is ignoring the real culprit: The Chinese Communist Party.
