The movie was an astounding account of Christ’s last 12 hours. Our parish has been actively involved in helping our parishioners with any questions or emotions this movie has brought forth. An astonishing number of our parishioners viewed this movie and our parish started discussion groups to respond. We have weekly discussion groups that explore the final 12 hours of Jesus’ life and how He can lead us to God’s eternal love. We are now using your book, A Guide to the Passion: 100 questions about Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ, and the accompanying Study Guides to help us deepen the experience.
As an individual, I felt compelled to respond to the movie and I believe our discussion groups are a great way to help our parishioners deepen the experience as well as handle any questions that have arisen since the movie was released.
