White, a color of purity for innocence (and innocents)
Red for Martyrs and
innocents whose blood was shed in the early hours.
Violet for mourning and preparing for
Rejoicing
And gold for incredible celebration.
And then, like a meadow stretching far
as the eye can see
Green…..green pastures,
Ordinary time.
