No time to eat?

I sometimes have heard people say that they were so busy that they forgot to eat. I can honestly say I have never forgotten to eat! Finding time to eat can be a challenge, however. When my boys were very young, it seemed the only nourishment I actually got was the leftovers from their plates. Fixing full meals often seems to require too much effort to do more than once a day, but there are ways you can make sure that you get something nutritious even when short for time and energy.

Make sure that you always have fresh or dried fruit available. It is delicious and good for you. Baby-sized carrots are also very convenient to grab and go. Whole-wheat crackers are filling as well. I love to have a yogurt or some cottage cheese for lunch. There are so many different flavors available, you are sure to find one that you like. In the winter, a can of soup can be opened and microwaved in 2 minutes! Any of these options works well whether you are sitting at your desk at work or spending the day with the kids at home. Be creative and you will never have to say "there was no time to eat" again!
