The lost keys found
Under the pine tree
The lover met
Though directions false
May misdirect
The sightless go by sound
The soundless feel the wind
The falling pine
Although no fibers crack
Hunters sense
Beyond peripheries
Comprehend the nape
Or vision through an eye inside the head
There is the sense of love
The faculty of rage
The time-stopped run of fear
The perfumed weight of infants
Clean and sweet
But something more invisible that moves –
The bear behind the tree
The cougar in the rock-fall
And from the fallen dusk
The gleaming coverts of an eagle overhead
Inside the shell the sweet
The big dream in a sleeping breath
The love of One unseen
Inside the world
