Dear Catholic Exchange:
How come I see news about fourteen days old still popping up on the Catholic Exchange, but an important item, that last week there was a bus accident in Timor in which 30 to 40 Kononian nuns were injured never showed up? We could have had a lot of people praying for their welfare, had it been published.
God Bless,
Marwen
Dear Ms. Wennick,
We appreciate you writing as we are always trying to improve what we do.
I have no idea what you mean about 14-day-old news. Do you have an example?
As for the accident in Timor, what was your source for that? If you had a source and passed it on, we may have been able to feature the story, IF that particular news source allowed us to reprint their news — not all sources do.
Alternatively, a budget of about $50 million a year would permit us to field our own correspondents around the world, so if you could arrange that we would be ecstatic. In any case, though, we do appreciate your support of Catholic Exchange.
Thanks and blessings,
Mrs. Mary Kochan
