In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
The Bible starts off, “in the beginning God.” Not only is this the way the Bible begins, it is the way we should begin this new year. Every new year, month, day and hour we should put God first. As the Scripture says, “seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day’s own trouble be sufficient for the day.” (Matthew 6:33-34).
