God’s Unstoppable Blessing!

Isaiah 14:24

The LORD of hosts has sworn: “As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.”

One good thing to do now and then is just sit back for a spell, take a look at the Big Picture, and remember that God is really in charge of things.  And not just any god, nor a Fate, nor some historical dialectic, nor karma, nor a Ground of Being, nor any of the other God-substitutes that the philosophical and religious imagination of humanity has concocted.  It is God, the eternal One who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Lover, Beloved and Love who orders our destiny, oversees the fate of nations and numbers the very hairs of our head.  He is it who says “Fear not little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”  All things, from happy times to tragedies, really are ordered to bring us into the kingdom and make us eternally happy.  Today, realize that nothing—-absolutely nothing—-can thwart God’s plan to bless you in Christ Jesus if you remain in him.  For if you remain in him he solemnly promises he will remain in you.
