God Will Make Your Path Straight!

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.

So often we expend tremendous amounts of energy trying to map out a plan for our lives. It is good to plan, but foolhardy to plan relying only on our own limited insight. In this verse we see that our first responsibility is to acknowledge the Lord in all that we do. How do we do this? By asking that simple question, what would Jesus do? Through reading Scripture and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, plus attending Mass and frequenting the sacraments you can know the will of God. In every encounter today, trust in Him and His will and rely not on your own insight. If we will live today focused on what the Lord’s will is in every situation and do it, the Lord will make our paths straight. Living according to Proverbs 3:5-6 can be a big step towards simplifying your life.
