John 4:7
There came a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give me a drink.”
Jesus did not immediately reveal his identity to the woman at the well. He did not perform a miracle, declare, “I am He!” and then ask for a drink. He simply came to her as a fellow peasant, a foreigner, and a weak man who was tired from his journey. Jesus still comes to us today in the disguise of the foreigner, the weak, and the poor. Give him a cup of cold water. You will not lose your reward.
