Psalm 107:2
Let the redeemed of the LORD say so,
whom he has redeemed from trouble.
A Pentecostal preacher once remarked that there is one command of Jesus, which many Christians are careful to obey: “Go and tell no one” (Mark 1:44). Unfortunately, he is not far off the mark with many of us. We are strangely reluctant to talk about the things we know God has done for us. And yet, it is a good thing to do so anyway, not only because to thank God is simply to speak the truth about him, but also because there are many other people trapped in that strange void of speechlessness about God. Seeing other people talk frankly and openly about the good things God has done is liberating for those who want to give him thanks but do not know how. Today, take time to make a little noise about how God has redeemed you. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!
