Homily of the Day

Friday of the Fourth Week of Easter

Perhaps we encounter days that just totally bring us down. And during those times we tend to lose sight of things, we get into anything that we think will get us through: vices, food, laziness, indecisiveness or isolation.

Like an old saying, “Amidst the darkest clouds is a silver lining”, believe that there is always an answer, a solution or a spark of hope no matter how grave your situation is. And Jesus has even risen from the dead to glorious, eternal life just to tell us that.

No matter how hopeless things may seem, we’ll always find our consolation in Our Lord. That’s why He’s constantly reminding us that we need not look elsewhere for answers to our questions, solutions to our problems, and explanations to our inquiries. He’s the only answer, solution, and explanation we’ll ever need.

When in doubt or fear, a feeling that we are losing our mind or have
lost our way upon a crossroads, let us take the one that Jesus chose, the Cross, because he showed us that he IS the Way, the Truth and the Life. Perhaps it may seem illogical or confusing to many of us, but deep wisdom lies there. All we need to do is trust and accept his hand. He never will lead us astray because where he goes is where we all right fully will be.
