Dear Catholic Exchange,
I just read your senior editor’s response to a reader from Omaha concerning minimum wage debate. I can't believe you apparently separate economic justice from faith and morals.
Ann E. O'Mara
Dear Ms. O'Mara,
Thank you for writing. I am glad that you cannot believe that we, as you put it, “separate economic justice from faith and morals,” since we do not. That is why I wrote: “What we do have to assent to is teaching on faith and morals. The moral teaching on this matter is that we must seek economic justice for all.” It would not be possible to make a statement that more closely tied faith and morals to economic justice.
Thank you for your support of Catholic Exchange,
Mrs. Mary Kochan
