Creating Creation

by Roger Anthony Farinha

I exclaim to Thee, O God, O force divine,

That made me a Creating Creation,

I but exclaim, this song, Thine own ovation.

I, the fruit of Thee,

Materialized, manifested, magnified,

From where not I know,

From where, perhaps– naught.

I, Thine own Emblem, Thine own Form, Thine own Seal

As babe from parent wrought.

What special call, rise me to, Thy charge?

What perfect purpose, for, my set at large?

To magnify Thee, my magnified me, be

To rip the world and spill my meaning free,

To cry my being and pour my art to Thee,

'Tis art, my art, my hero own to be.
