Dear Catholic Exchange:
As communications director for the Pennsylvania Catholic Conference, I have had to deal with a handful of irate supporters of Sen. John Kerry who took issue with our voter's guide. Some were downright rude and mean.
These conversations can be very discouraging. We hear negative tirades but little praise for our efforts to encourage fidelity to Church teaching. Realizing other people in Catholic organizations may be discouraged, too, I wanted to send you a brief note of encouragement and praise for the good work you did in regard to the recent election.
Thank you for your faithfulness and all of your efforts on behalf of the Church, the unborn, and the family.
