a film of ash and sweat to breathe
and broken bricks below to grieve
those buried who are climbing up
and those who won't You will raise up
and climbing down to find alive
or dead they work unending strive
to end and to begin reprieve
rebuild so all will hope receive
and endless line bucket brigade
for water, debris, hopes that fade
to cool our anger, stop the threat
too few the foes too great the debt
but reach with love and bravery
and will to add in charity
the cross You climbed for these as well
perhaps if hate finds love we'll tell
the Lord, Beloved, is Lord of all
so learn before more bodies fall
