Hello Catholic Exchange:
We recently adopted a 9-year-old girl from China. We are going to begin taking her to church with us, and would like her to be able to follow along with the mass. Is there a Catholic Missal in Mandarin for children available for purchase?
Thanks,
Edward and Michelle Simmonds
Dear Edward & Michelle,
Catholic Exchange is happy to help you. Please let us know if this girl came from China Mainland rather than Hong Kong or Macao. If she came from China Mainland, she can only read Simplified Chinese, which is different from Traditional Chinese used outside the mainland.
God bless,

Dear Mark,
The St. John study is the best study I have ever done on John and I have done many good ones. I have taught for CBS(Community Bible Study) and been in leadership in other classes as a Protestant. I also have taught in my own church using other well-known studies. However, I am Catholic now and I can't begin to tell you how amazing it is to do this study with Catholic eyes and a Catholic heart.
Only a former Protestant would ever understand this! This study is so rich! I thank you, Mark, because in the summer of 2003 I wrote to you to ask if you had done studies on the Deuterocanonical Books for new Catholics who know the Word and would want to study these books. You responded and told me then that you were not doing them “yet” but that you were busy doing many other books of the Bible.
You then sent my name to Gail Buckley. Gail immediately got to me and she is wonderful. With Gail's direction and great enthusiasm, we started a study in Northern California doing St. John. I am the only new Catholic in the group but I hear the cradle Catholics saying over and over how much they are learning and some are saying they had not ever studied like this before!
Good work!
How many studies are you doing? I don't see them online as I did last summer. What is the plan?
Thanks so much, again, for sending me on to Gail.
Love in the Lamb,
Terry Fenwick
Dear Terry:
I'm glad you've enjoyed the studies so! We aim to please! Right now, we're working on a study of Exodus. We've also got a study of Hebrews complete and we'll be doing Luke after that. You guys keep using 'em and we'll keep writing 'em. Our goal (very far off) is to do the whole Bible.
