(AgapePress) – A Texas school that bills itself as the world’s largest Baptist university is being criticized by home school advocates who claim the university discriminates against those without a traditional high school diploma.
Officials at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, are now telling two home school graduates that they must be 18 years of age or get a GED certificate in order to be enrolled this fall. This comes after the university already accepted and even awarded scholarships to home schoolers. In one case, Baylor accepted 16-year-old Jennifer Miller as a student.
According to the Internet news site WorldNetDaily, Jennifer’s parents paid the deposit for enrollment and had registered their daughter for orientation week, only to be contacted by Baylor officials who said Jennifer had to have a GED before she could attend the university.
A Baylor spokesman said the university is only following federal regulations and state law which says the school can only accept students with a high school diploma. Texas does not recognize home school graduates.

More Women Seeking Casual Sex on College Campuses
A new study out today shows that while most female college students want to be married, the pursuit of a husband is undermined by the prevalence of relationships on college campuses that feature sex without commitment.
That, according to the report conducted for the Independent Women's Forum, leaves many women with two choices: to launch intense but vague relationships, or have casual physical encounters. The survey found that with 100 women on college campuses for every 79 men, women are more likely to initiate relationships with men and more willing to experiment with casual relationships.
Also, the study concluded that while young women are trying more and more to act like men, they do not react like men and find casual physical encounters unfulfilling.
