a joyful noise

by Jonathan Hunter-Kilmer

a heavy, breathy tensioned sigh

from muscles loosened ribs drawn wide

mouth slack with wonder awe and bliss

and mind upraised by passion's kiss

impaled from air to air between

my body rich in words I glean

from whispered voice

and printed page

You speak Beloved my senses rage

can boiling water shout of peace

and froth an ocean life release

when flesh unmade a cry compell

and ecstasy expressed by yell

a trumpet angels blow not fyfe

joy may erupt as planet life

so my soul screams, Lover, as here

my core displayed , embraced, You sear
