This was a Monday to Friday great column. But you missed my two favorites (they're probably not on YouTube). My second favorite is in Clint Eastwood's HEARTBREAK RIDGE, where Gunny Highway and numerous other long-time serving Marines complain about the "cluster flops" they encounter. Well, at least they get the "cluster" part right. But my all-time favorite is from Coppola's own TV edit of THE GODFATHER. When they're setting up Michael's restaurant hit of Sollozzo, Sonny exclaims "I don't want my brother coming out of that toilet with just a stick in his hands...". I had seen the movie several times in the theater, and wondered how they were going to clean up the original line. When I heard it, at first I thought they had left the line as spoken. It actually took me a minute to realize Sonny said "...a stick...". That was a great edit.
