Be Not Afraid: A Book of Quotes for Catholic Men

We live in an age of soundbites and bullet points, in which fragmented attention is a fact of life. It is often difficult to find time to finish a lengthy article or essay, much less a book.

That’s one reason why I love quotes. A good quote can inspire, rebuke, motivate, or encourage you in only a sentence or two. And when it comes to quotes, there are none better than those of the saints.

Among this great company of saints were countless manly men who knew that holiness is the highest calling, the supreme vocation of every man. Some of these saints were swashbuckling soldiers like Ignatius Loyola. Others were converted Lotharios like St. Augustine. Still others were peaceful hermits like St. Peter Damian. Though they have long since been laid to rest, the heroic lives of these men still shake the world.

And these men still speak to us today. They teach us how to be courageous, how to suffer, and how to grow in virtue. Today, I’m excited to announce the launch of a new book called “Be Not Afraid: A Book of Quotes for Catholic Men.” To my knowledge, there isn’t another book like it out there. It’s filled with practical advice for both every day life and advancing in the spiritual life. I hope it will inspire you and become a companion that you can return to again and again in the days to come.
