Saint Augustine once wrote: “Oh happy fault which won for us a Divine Redeemer”

How true it is that Augustine recognized that without the heretics of the world, there would be no need for Catholic Doctrine. From the beginning of the Church, all Doctrine has been written to refute the errors of the heretic and with each new heresy, Catholic Doctrine has been refined, like gold in the furnace to create a language which defines the Catholic faith in greater and more sweet detail.

All the Saint, all the Doctors of the Church including the Popes, the College of Cardinals, the Prefects and Scribes and Translators of the Doctrine of the Faith have all labored from the beginning after the appointment of Saint Peter by Christ Himself along with the Keys to Paradise, to identify and refute errors against Catholic Faith.

Even today as we write, Pope Benedict XVI and the Magistrate of the Church labor intensively to re-define Catholic Doctrine in an ongoing labor against heresy and error. It has been written by Father John Hardon, among many others that the 20th Century has brought with it the greatest number of heresies known in the history of the Church, including more blood red Martyrs than the entire history of the Church before this time. This is the reason why daily Mass has been re-established with the approval also of daily Mass twice daily providing the Holy Scriptures are included in the second Mass, so that should we die a Red Martyrs death, we die with the comfort of the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Sanctity of Saving Grace through our Confession of sin.

Daily Mass was taken as a necessity in the early history of the Church as the Romans martyred nearly anyone who was found openly professing the Catholic faith and so it has become a reality in these later few centuries that the Church has endured the most martyrdom and so daily Mass is a comfort and a Blessing to those who may be White Martyred or Red Martyred for the Faith.

Without heretics, there would be no Catholic Doctrine, Without sinners there would be no need for Jesus Christ, without sinners there would be no need for the Body and Blood of the Eucharist, without sinners there would be no need for the Sacraments, without sinners there would be no need for the Pope, without sinners there would be no need for the Catholic Church, without sinners there would be no need for the Sacrament of Confession, without those persecuting the Church there would be no need for the Lily White or the blood Red Martyrs for Christ.

What Saint Augustine is saying in his realization of “Oh happy fault that won for us Divine Redeemer” is that without those who sin, without those who are in error, without the heretics of the world, there would have been no need for Christ to come. As Christ said it Himself, “I have not come to save the righteous but the sinner”.

This means in all reality that we should give thanks to God even for those in error who help in a very mysterious way to define what we are as true Catholic ever better than before and what defines those who dare to follow Christ in truth as White Martyrs or Red Martyrs of the faith and also more clearly defines those in error and heresy.

If no one in the world were tempted and moved by action to sin, who would we have to pray for? No one. Who would there be for Christ Our Lord to save? No one. There would be no need for prayer as the world would be free from error and heresy so all would be at peace in the Lord and his righteousness.

As Father John Hardon often wrote, “When you meet someone who is in error, give thanks to God and do not run away from them, for we need those people for our own Sanctification in the Faith”. Even ourselves; we should give thanks for our need to be Redeemed, to be corrected, to be forgiven in Absolution, to receive the Body and Blood in grace. We need someone to pray for and with; we need someone to dialog with about error in Doctrine and what defines being Catholic; we need the sinners of this world in order to obtain for us such a marvelous Divine Redeemer, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Men and women need prayer as it relieves our souls from guilt and suffering. We need prayer like we need food and shelter. We need to pray as much as we need to breathe. It is truly the only way we can talk to God. Prayer can be simply a sigh, looking up to Heaven, it needs not to be words, God knows what we need before we do.

The Angels in Heaven stand in awe of what God in His Infinite Wisdom has done to save mankind, The Angels stand in awe of Jesus Christ who was made King of all Creation and Savior of the world. The Angels cease not to praise Him and give thanks to God for how wonderfully God has made us and demonstrated His Divine love for all sinners through the depth and the height and the breadth of the Sacrifice of His Only Begotten Son Our Lord Jesus as He hung nailed upon the Cross, scourged and crowned with thorns to save the world.

OH HAPPY FAULT WHICH WON FOR US DIVINE REDEEMER!!!

THANKS BE TO GOD FOR ALL THE HERETICS AND ALL OTHER SINNERS!!!

For without them we would have no need to pray to our Beloved Jesus, Blessed Mary and Joseph, all Intercessory Saints and Martyrs, the dear Guardian Angels and God the Father Himself with the Holy Spirit. We would have no need to call out to them in our distress. We would have no need to dialog with God the Father nor the Son nor the Holy Spirit. Amen.

As Saint Paul has written:
For if God did not spare the natural branches, (perhaps) he will not spare you either.See, then, the kindness and severity of God: severity toward those who fell, but God’s kindness to you, provided you remain in his kindness; otherwise you too will be cut off.And they also, if they do not remain in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated one, how much more will they who belong to it by nature be grafted back into their own olive tree. I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers, so that you will not become wise (in) your own estimation: a hardening has come upon Israel in part, until the full number of the Gentiles comes in,and thus all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The deliverer will come out of Zion, he will turn away godlessness from Jacob;
and this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.”

In respect to the gospel, they are enemies on your account; but in respect to election, they are beloved because of the patriarchs.For the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable. Just as you once disobeyed God but have now received mercy because of their disobedience,so they have now disobeyed in order that, by virtue of the mercy shown to you, they too may (now) receive mercy.

For God delivered all to disobedience, that he might have mercy upon all. Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgments and how unsearchable his ways!”For who has known the mind of the Lord or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has given him anything that he may be repaid?”For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
