It’s not that they won’t get it, it’s that they are prevented from “getting it”.
Did you ever wonder why Catholic’s are the only people in the world who “get it” when it comes to the Divine Mysteries of Christ?
Do you think it is because we are according to Saint Peter: ” But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may announce the praises” of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” The Catholic Letters 1 Peter Chapter 2 ?
Or do you think it is as Saint Matthew wrote: “Many are invited, but few are chosen.” * The Gospels of Matthew Chapter 22
Or is it rather as Saint Luke wrote thus:”Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them? I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” The Gospels * Luke Chapter 18
What remains after all are called in the judgment of Christ Himself who exclaimed: “All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him. “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your selves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” The Gospels * Matthew Chapter 11
So you see, it’s not that anyone in the world does not “get it” when it comes to sharing of the Divine Mysteries, it is that there is no way on God’s green earth that anyone can prevent himself from being excluded by God Himself from the full knowledge of Christ His Only Begotten Son, should that be God’s Holy Will, it shall be done unto them according to His Word.
If we fully understood what the Blessed Mother Mary meant when she said: Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.The Gospels* Luke Chapter 1 So much more would we understand that what is done to us according to his word has made us Catholic and heirs of the Divine Mysteries of Christ in accordance with Blessed Mother and resounding her exclamation as well: “Let it be done to me according to your word”.
You can evangelize those who do not believe until your face turns blue and they still will not “get it” because they are prevented by God Himself from “getting it”. There really is only one way to effect the conversion of another who does not believe and that is to pray to God the Father “to change His will for that person to allow them to come to the Light through Christ Our Lord who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit now and forever” then allow your prayer and your hope to rest upon the soul of that person, to allow your effect to affect the will of God the Father, that God changes His will to allow the unbeliever to come to Christ in the Divine Mysteries.
For it is well understood what Saint James exhorted us all: "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful." The Catholic Letters * James Chapter 5
God only allows those ones He has chosen to share in the Divine Mysteries. I for one am rejoicing in heavenly joy that God the Father has allowed me to be able to share my share of the Divine Mysteries with you…..The Chosen One.
