Tomorrow-Wednesday Aug 1-is the day that gay militants and their supporters have announced as the day to boycott the chain. As it turns out, many Christians had announced the same day as "support CFA day" and will be turning out to "eat mo chicken". I'll be among the chicken eaters!

Our local Chic fil A seems to be doing really well. I'm glad this is in the news. Public debate is good for the soul of a nation. People with same sex attraction are not wounded by this company. Those promoting what is called gay marriage have missed the point everyone else seems to get....that marriage has a meaning that cannot be changed. It's designed for one man and one woman. Attempting to change it accepts a lie. Didn't Elton John, a homosexual with a partner, recently state that it is really very sad, for children to grow up without a mother? There are features dads only and mothers only can bring to a marriage. All we have to do is look at the people we know. Broken homes, single parent homes, we all know there's a stark difference between them and the families that thrive with fathers and mothers working together to raise healthy, stable children. Like the stubborn child the offenders of freedom need a reality check. This is a great opportunity.

Actually, "militant gay" is not an oxymoron. I recently met a gay couple who told me how they joined a gay group, expecting something along the lines of a support group, and instead found militancy. They quit immediately after their first meeting. So I think there are many gays who simply want to live their lives as they choose, in peace and quiet; and then there are those who want to shove their lifestyle down our throats. Two separate and distinct groups. Both sinful, but, in my opinion, the militants are worse, because they are trying to draw others into their sin.

On a related note; Remember the "Chick Comics" (Chick-chic) that attack the Catholic Church ? As you say ;"At least the lines are getting brighter." I remembered Cari Donaldson (fellow CE blogger) sharing in her conversion story how Chick's vehement attacks helped to spur her looking deeper into Cathoicism. Doesn't it seem like "the enemy" is being "Backed Into a Corner" by the readily available technological access to Truth ? And like a "Scared Rat" is lashing out ? It all seems to be part of God's plan; "I have not come to bring peace. Rather, my Truth will cause division." (Lk. 12: 51) So, as we March on in this current existence of "Church Militant", let us deliver Truth with patient mercy; no one comes to Christ through quarrelling (see 2 Tim. 2: 24-25). As long as there is Free Speech, Truth will survive.

You and me both...............couldn't on this day, though. The parking lot was filled and double-parked, and the drive-thru was backed up around the restaurant down the entrance driveway all the way to the street.

Looks like a bunch of folk are eatin' mor chiken!
