Our problem is, with our crushing debt burden, will we have the wherewithal to defend ourselves when the Islamists decide it’s time to wipe out the “Great Satan” with nuclear arms?

To the extent that our U.S. govt. contains eternal Truth, to that extent, “The Gates of Hell shall not prevail against it.” If Free Mkt. unencumbered by govt. control is the historically proven way to the highest standard of living (“By their fruits you will know them.”), then we will remain the “Beacon of Hope” to a befuddled world. All historical missteps aside, the current Catholic Church claims that it PROPOSES – NOT IMPOSES Truth. If another country wants what we have, let them confess & practise an allegience to our form of governing and ONLY THEN should they reap our assistance. Otherwise, let them wallow in their defiant ignorance. [God can't FORCE us to choose freindship with Him - that would not be freindship.] Until they concur with our proven track record, we will defend our form of governing with the superior strength that it enables us to have. We lead by EXAMPLE & STRENGTH not by FORCING OUR WAY ON OTHERS.

Pat Buchanan is a great American voice for American Reason in an America now consumed with self-centered ideology by those in power. These folks are trying to convince the citizenry that it is still the 20th century. The power-elite are winning so folks like Mr. Buchanan are vital to keep the spark of the true American spirit alive.
