The old clichés meet some gentle ribbing but ultimately with affection. You get the impression with Skyfall that this is a new breed of Bond film. It retains the flair of the franchise but brings it up to date. It’s Bond, just better.

the only good thing about this movie, which I could survive for only about 30 minutes, was beautiful women and beautiful cities. Other than that, another dose of meaningless violence, macho cliches, over-predictable romance and boring boring Craig, who just cannot act.
