		<description>The expression &quot;Oh my God&quot; is so widely abused these days, especially by young people, I doubt Mr. Rodger realizes its significance.  

It is only because it is the opening three words of the act of contrition. 

There was a time when the circumstances which caused you to say those words implied that you were facing the end of your earthly life and readying to meet your Maker face-to-face.</description>
